Join the ranks of being a SUPER STAR - Volunteer!

We are so excited that you are interested in joining the Volunteer team @ the Humane Society of York County (HSYC). Follow the steps below to start the journey. 

1. Pay the Volunteer Orientation Fee of $25.00 administrative fee (includes your Volunteer tee Shirt).

2. Set up a profile (you must be minimum of 18 years old).

3. AFTER you have completed both of these steps, email our Volunteer Committee @ volunteer@humanesocietyofyorkcounty.org for next step coordination. 

Requirements for all Volunteers age 18 and older:

1. Pay the $25.00 administrative fee.
2. Set up a profile in our Volunteer System. 
3. Attend New Volunteer Orientation 
4. Join the CLOSED HSYC Facebook page - this is where ALL Volunteer communication takes place. 
5. Wear HSYC Volunteer Shirt so it is Visible & Approved bottoms/footwear at all times. 
6. Comply with all safety protocols and volunteer rules at all times
7. Check the CLOSED HSYC Facebook Volunteer page regularly to stay abreast of changes and updates
8. There are so many wonderful ways to volunteer at our rescue. For safety and consistency, animal handling roles require a minimum volunteer time commitment of 6 hours each month. If animal handling doesn't fit your schedule, we have lots of other ways for you to help out.
