About Me

When I was a teen, I brought home my first rescue; a deaf Dalmatian slated for euthanasia.  He was absolutely the best dog; my velcro boy until the day he crossed the rainbow bridge.  I have been an advocate for animal rescue ever since.  Along with my current rescue Shawnee, I have a son, a daughter, 2 grandchildren, 3 rescue grandcats and 2 rescue granddogs.  

I worked  in Operations and Logistics with a manufacturing company for 33 years.  I finally retired in 2018 and had the opportunity to pursue my passion for animal rescue and began walking dogs at the HSYC.  I have added dog walker training, fostering, home visits, along with some accounting data entry.   I can't think of any better place, any better people, or any better mission where I would want to spend my time than with HSYC.   I feel incredibly fortunate and humbled to be able to work with this amazing team in this new capacity.
