Paws to Read Program

Is this program for you?

Do you want to instill moral values and good behaviors in your child in the humane treatment of animals? Do you want to develop good reading habits in your child? Do you want your child to simply begin interacting with rescue cats and dogs? Then this program is for you!

Requirements

  • Groups and individuals are welcome.
  • Adult supervision is required (18+)

Objective

To instill moral values and behaviors in children in the humane treatment of animals, while giving our rescue pets some extra attention in a calm and quiet manner before their "bedtime".

Tasks

  • Children who love reading or who simply need practice reading may sit outside cages/kennels and read to cats and dogs.
  • Some books are available, but bring your own to ensure they are at the appropriate reading level.
